Beyond the Scores : Our Philosophy

We believe a girl’s future should never be dictated by her family’s financial crisis. While most scholarships reward academic scores, the Hasi Girl Child Scholarship Program was created to champion something just as vital: determination, effort, and resilience.

Many girls possess incredible potential but are forced to drop out due to poverty or sudden tragedy. We provide the stable financial support they need to continue their education with dignity, hope, and confidence.

The Legacy of Love:

This program is a heartfelt tribute to the compassionate soul of Ms. Hasi, who always wished to help children in her quiet way. Her beloved friend, Mr. Susheel Kumar, initiated this program in her memory, transforming grief into a gift that genuinely uplifts lives.

Our scholarship is inclusive, transcending all social barriers, and grounded in the simple belief that education is every child’s right.

By donating, you help us continue Hasi’s legacy of humanity, ensuring no dream is left incomplete for want of financial means. You give a girl the chance to learn, dream, and transform her future.

Over the past three years (2023–2026), the Hasi Scholarship has acted as a critical bridge for students facing crisis. We have proudly supported an average of 6 students annually, reaching a total of 10 girls and keeping their dreams of education alive.

The Heart of Our Program: Meet Mrs. Sandhya

While the scholarship is a financial gift, it is fueled by the dedication of compassionate individuals like Mrs. Sandhya. A computer teacher at Jain PU College, Mrs. Sandhya is truly the driving force behind the Hasi Scholarship Program.

She plays a pivotal and personal role in ensuring our support reaches those who need it most. Mrs. Sandhya’s unique insight allows her to identify deserving students who are facing extremely challenging backgrounds—the resilient girls often missed by traditional programs.

Currently, she is spearheading our outreach efforts in Moodubidire, working diligently to ensure that no deserving child is left unsupported in that region.

Thanks to her guidance and tireless effort over the years, the Hasi Scholarship has successfully supported 7 girls across 5 school and colleges, helping them continue their education despite profound financial hardships. Because our commitment is for sustained support, the program’s duration and impact are always tailored to the specific needs of each student and family.

Mrs. Sandhya’s work is proof that every girl’s future is secured not just by funds, but by humanity and dedication.

From Security Guard to Stability: Ramu's Story

For over a decade, Mr. Ramu worked diligently as a security guard at the Cambridge Institute of Technology, earning just ₹12,000 per month. Despite taking on extra responsibility as the zero-waste coordinator, providing for his family and funding his daughter’s education remained a constant struggle.

The Hasi Scholarship Program stepped in, providing crucial financial assistance for 3 years, ensuring his daughter’s studies continued without interruption during their time of crisis.

This support allowed Mr. Ramu to focus on his work, where his dedication was soon recognized. He was promoted to Housekeeping In-Charge, bringing much-needed financial stability to his family. With their income secure, the family no longer needed the scholarship.

Ramu’s story is a clear testament to the Hasi Scholarship’s mission: we provide timely support to keep a dream alive, empowering families until they are back on their feet and thriving.

Eligibility Criteria

The Hasi Girl Child Scholarship Program targets FEMALE STUDENTS below 35 years of age, demonstrating determination and resilience in the face of significant financial barriers. We consider two primary categories of urgent need:

1. Preventing Immediate Dropout (Sustained Hardship)

This criteria addresses the ongoing difficulty of maintaining educational enrollment due to persistent poverty.

  • At-Risk of Discontinuation: The student is currently enrolled in school or college but is at imminent risk of dropping out because their family is consistently unable to pay the required tuition or semester fees.
  • Need for Continuation: The scholarship support is necessary to enable the student to continue their current course of study and successfully complete the academic year.

2. Sudden Financial Crisis (Unforeseen Circumstances)

This criteria addresses students whose education is interrupted by an unexpected family emergency.

  • Sudden Financial Instability: The student’s family has experienced a sudden and debilitating financial crisis (such as severe illness, loss of income, or death of an earning member) that has rendered them unable to pay the fees for the current academic year or term.
  • Timely Intervention: The scholarship is requested as a critical, temporary intervention to bridge the gap and prevent the student from being forced to leave their education immediately.

A Lifeline to Learning: School Bus Support

Access to education isn’t just about what happens in the classroom—it’s about the means to safely reach it. For underprivileged students, the cost of transportation often becomes an insurmountable barrier, forcing inconsistent attendance or even dropouts.

Our program removes this barrier by providing essential School Bus Support for children facing financial hardship, ensuring they can attend school consistently and confidently.

Case Study: Vivekananda School, Vijayanagar

Vivekananda School stands as a true beacon of hope, serving students from areas like the Kalparaksha Trust and the slums of Goripalya. Here, families rely on low-income work—from BBMP labor to footpath businesses—with typical monthly earnings between ₹15,000–20,000. For these families, a simple bus fare is a sacrifice they often cannot afford.

Through this powerful collaboration with the school and the trust, we are transforming lives. Transportation assistance is more than a service; it’s a lifeline that enables these children to learn, grow, and break the cycle of poverty.

Community support ensures that distance never dictates destiny.
