More Than Awareness. We Create Behavior Change.

At Vedan Trust, IEC is not a presentation, a poster, or a one-day awareness activity. It is a carefully designed behavior change experience built from years of field implementation. Every program we conduct is customized to the people in front of us—be it students, teachers, government officials, vendors, housekeeping teams, apartment residents, corporate employees, or event organizers. We do not teach from theory. We teach from what has worked on the ground, what has failed, what has been improved, and what continues to create lasting change.

We Don’t Just Teach. We Make People Experience.

Anyone can say “segregate your waste.”
We make people understand where segregation actually begins.

Anyone can say “keep your surroundings clean.”
We help people understand the difference between cleanliness and waste management.

Anyone can place bins.
We build ownership.

Through live demonstrations, role plays, field examples, interactive activities, and real-life problem solving, our participants do not just listen—they participate, question, laugh, reflect, and most importantly… remember. Because when learning becomes an experience, change becomes a habit.

Trusted on the Ground. Proven in the Field.

Over the years, Vedan has delivered IEC programs across Karnataka for diverse stakeholders and governance systems. We have trained 234 Marshals in Bengaluru, strengthening field communication and waste management practices. We have conducted ward-level IEC programs (15,000 reach) for Town Municipal Council Moodbidri, community outreach programs for Link Workers in Bengaluru, and capacity-building sessions for schools, colleges, institutions, apartments, offices, and bulk waste generators through our Zero Waste Campus and Zero Waste Lifestyle initiatives.

From classrooms to campuses, from streets to government systems—our communication has been tested where change truly matters.

From Events to Everyday Life

A festival, sports event, public gathering, college fest, temple celebration, or community event—these spaces generate not just waste, but an opportunity to influence thousands at once. Through our event-based IEC programs, Vedan creates awareness on waste segregation, responsible disposal, resource recovery, and reducing single-use materials. We help organizers, volunteers, vendors, and visitors understand how one event can leave behind not waste… but an example.

Because awareness at events does not end with the event. It travels back home with every participant.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Schools, colleges, universities, and institutions looking to make their orientation programs meaningful can invite Vedan to conduct engaging IEC sessions on waste management, sustainability, civic responsibility, and responsible living. Our sessions are interactive, practical, and designed to make young minds think differently about the choices they make every day.

Institutions can also visit the Vedan Trust office for experiential learning—where participants do not just hear about sustainability, but see systems in action, ask questions, interact with real case studies, and understand how change is built from the ground up.

If You Want Awareness, There Are Many. If You Want Change, Call Vedan.

Whether you are a school, college, corporate, apartment community, government body, event organizer, CSR partner, or institution looking to create meaningful impact—Vedan’s IEC programs are designed to move people from awareness to action, and from action to ownership.

**Invite us. Visit us. Experience it.
Because real change begins when learning feels real.

Marshals Training Program

Vedan has trained 234  Marshals in Bengaluru through structured IEC and capacity-building programs focused on field communication, citizen engagement, waste management systems, and conflict resolution. Designed from real on-ground challenges, these sessions equip marshals not just to enforce systems, but to educate, influence, and build public ownership—turning frontline workers into ambassadors of sustainable urban change.

Link Workers Capacity Building

Vedan has designed and delivered IEC programs for community Link Workers in Bengaluru, strengthening their ability to connect with households, communities, and vulnerable groups through effective communication and field engagement. Our sessions focus on behavior change, stakeholder interaction, problem-solving, and practical communication methods, enabling link workers to become confident grassroots change-makers who can build trust, awareness, and community participation.

Leaf Composting Awareness

Through our leaf composting IEC initiatives, Vedan Trust has worked with communities, institutions, and government stakeholders to transform fallen leaves from a “waste problem” into a valuable resource. Through practical demonstrations, on-site training, and behavior change communication, we help stakeholders understand how leaves can be scientifically converted into nutrient-rich compost, reducing transportation costs, landfill dependency, and open burning while building local ownership towards sustainable waste management.
