KALASIPALYA

Kalasipalya Market is a powerful example of how systems—not fines—drive lasting change. When a structured waste collection system existed, roads were clean and drains were protected; once the system was withdrawn, the problem returned. Vendors continue to demand the same system, proving that behaviour change had already happened.

MADIWALA

Madiwala Market showed how organic waste can be transformed into a community resource. Fresh produce was diverted for cow feeding, orphanages, and cattle farmers, creating a clean, zero-waste loop. It stands as a fully functional, scalable model for urban markets.

YESHWANTHPUR

Yeshwanthpur Market focused on diverting edible and organic waste away from landfills through simple, local systems. Wet waste was redirected daily for cattle feed, while awareness and dry-waste systems were introduced in nearby schools. The initiative demonstrated clear impact but could not be sustained due to limited on-ground stakeholder support.

KR PURAM

KR Puram Market was Vedan’s first case study, where the G-STAR Model was born. By connecting stakeholders and introducing a simple, coordinated system, the market demonstrated that structured processes—not enforcement—can solve long-standing waste challenges. It became the foundation for all future market interventions.

Yelahanka PU College

The stark reality of life. Despite sustained efforts, the initiative could not be taken forward due to lack of institutional support from the college management. This experience reinforced a critical learning: meaningful Zero Waste implementation requires active ownership and commitment from the institution to translate effort into outcomes.

Newtown

The first school to receive the Zero Waste Logo from the MLA for their efforts in becoming and sustaining as a Zero Waste Campus

Ramagondanahalli

Our most recent Zero Waste Campus, where waste management is taught as a subject matter rather than just a secondary activity.

GHS Konapana Agrahara

This school in Electronic City has been the fastest transformation! Their enthusiasm for a better environment, motivates us all to do better!

CPO

At the Commissioner of Police Office, Vedan demonstrated that Zero Waste is possible even in high-security, high-footfall government institutions. Through staff engagement, system setting, and practical waste dropping protocols, the initiative showed how disciplined institutions can lead by example and normalize sustainable practices within official workspaces.

GHPS Kattigenahalli

GHPS Kattigenahalli is the championing school for Zero Waste Campus. Their hard work has inspired multiple schools around them to go Zero Waste! The students understand waste as a responsibility, not a burden, laying the foundation for long-term behavioural change at household and community levels.
