The Chief officer and the President of TMC, Moodbidire showed interest and decided that behavioural change must begin at home, before extending the campaign to the public. Awareness sessions were conducted to the TMC staff and housekeeping team and waste collection system was set up in the office. As a result, TMC office turned into Zero Waste Office which received recognition by the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) Office and Awarded for Best Practices 2021-2022, Zero Waste Office.

Prominent Walls are painted with information related to prohibition on single-use items with suggested alternatives. Wet waste is composted in-house and dry waste is segregated into 9 categories in a simple bagging system. E-waste unit is set up inside the office and information displayed on proper disposal of reject waste. Various composting models have been displayed the office to encourage public on home composting and Cutlery bank is initiated for use during events.
